Here are some opportunities and resources to help you grow on your journey.
Baptism is a significant step in our faith journey. It publicly demonstrates that we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged underwater to symbolize Jesus' death and burial and then raised out of the water to represent His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three crucial essentials: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are living a transformed life because of Him, and you are now part of a new family known as the church.t of a new family known as the church.
Life Classes provide an excellent opportunity to explore and deepen your faith. We believe that God intended for us to live life in a community. Sharing experiences with others helps us fulfill the life He desires for us. Small Groups can be one of the most effective ways to live out Jesus' call to be a disciple. They include regular group gatherings as well as one-on-one mentoring sessions.
There are many opportunities to volunteer during our Sunday morning services. The "First Impressions" team includes everyone you encounter in the first few moments after arriving at EDC. If you have experience in sound and video, there are also positions available for you. Additionally, there are services for kids and teens that offer their own volunteer opportunities.
Community service is an excellent way to advance on your journey. We have partnered with various organizations in our community to offer more opportunities to make a positive impact on others. This includes providing weekend meals for children at local schools, participating in the Let It Shine Community Service Projects Day in May, and distributing treats at our annual Trunk or Treat event in October. We strive to be a church without walls.
